Romantic way how to get to the islands in Prague - use the ferry service!
07.08.08 15:04If You are tired and would like to get from one side of the river Vltava to the other, here is the perfect choice for You - the ferry service. This magnificent, romantic way of public transport can not be compared to the overcrowded trams that crosses the rivers on the bridges. Here You can enjoy the beauty of Prague just like as if You were going on a short river cruise - and the price is 26 CZK - just a bit more than 1 EUR!!
There are 5 different routes now, with exact daily schedules which are integrated into Prague's public transport system- that is why You use the same 26 CZK ticket you would use on a tram or a bus. The lines goes from - to: Sedlec - Zámky; Podbaba - Podhoří; Lihovar - Dvorce-Žluté lázně; Národní divadlo - Střelecký island, Slovanský island and Dětský island (Prague's three centrally-located islands); Jiráskovo náměstí - Vyšehrad and Výtoň. The boats always stop near tram and bus stops, so You can easily get anywhere You would like to go. :)
