Prague's largest art museum whose purpose is to acquire, collect, preserve and present the works of art and sculpture and make sure they are protected, documented and catalogued.

GALERIA DE LA CIUDAD DE PRAGA
- Fundad en 1963. Tuvo que colectar, conservar, estudiar y exhibir el arte Checo de los siglos XIX y XX. Al mismo tiempo fue responsable por la restauración y erección de monumentos, esculturas, lapids memoriales y fuentes en lugares publicos de Praga. Todas las exhibiciones están cerradas en Lunes.

- Exhibición: "20 aňos de la Revolución de Terciopelo", abierta el 17 de noviembre 2009, exactamente 20 aňos después de la Revolución de Terciopelo. La colección incluye obras de varias generaciones de artistas checos, desde el 1989 hasta hoy

- Exhibición:Pinturas de Frantisek Bilek desde 1892 hasta 1900. La exhibición permanente de este artista líder del modernismo, ha sido ampliada este año incluyendo las obras tempranas del mismo. En las pinturas de los años 1892 a 1900 Bilek buscó la expresión escultural adecuada en sus meditaciones sobre Jesucristo. Produjo un gran número de estudios y esbozos preparativos del cual resultó su escultura titulada Crucificado (1899) localizada en la Catedral de San Vito en el Castillo de Praga.
